Cosmetic composition comprising an extract of mixed herbal tgt having skin whitening and anti-aging activity

A cosmetic composition comprising the extracts of TGT mixed herbs is provided to inhibit melanin formation, activity of tyrosinase, and expressions of TRP-1(tyrosinase related protein-1), tyrosinase and PKA(protein kinase A) genes without side effects, so that the composition is useful for whitening the skin and inhibit skin aging. A cosmetic composition for skin whitening and anti-aging comprises 0.1-50 wt.% of the extracts of TGT mixed herbs including Panax ginseng C.A Meyer, Angelica gigas Nakai, Glycyrrizae radix, Paeoniae Radix, Radix Rehmanniae, Angelica pubescens MAXIM., Eucommia ulmoides OLIV., Achyrantis Radix, Asarum sieboldii MIQ., Gentiana macrophylla Pallas, Poria cocos, Cinnamomum cassia PRESL., Phelloterus Littoralis Bentham and Cnidium officinale in a weight ratio of 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5, which are prepared with a solvent selected from water, C1-C4 lower alcohol or a mixed solvent thereof, hexane, propylene glycol, ethyl acetate, butylenes glycol, ether and chloroform. The cosmetic composition is in a form selected from skin lotion, skin softener, skin toner, lotion, milk lotion, moisture lotion, massage cream, hand cream, foundation, essence, pack, soap, cleansing form, cleansing lotion, cleansing cream, body lotion and body cleanser.
