Determinants of acute hemodynamic and electrophysiologic effects of verapamil in humans: role of myocardial drug uptake.

1990
The major objectives of the current study were to use the technique of coronary sinus catheterization to measure acute myocardial verapamil uptake in patients with ischemic heart disease and to correlate changes in myocardial verapamil content with simultaneaously measured effects of verapamil on hemodynamic, electrocardiographic, and electrophysiologic parameters.
