RECOMBINANT MICROORGANISM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLY-γ-GLUTAMIC ACID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a poly-γ-glutamic acid in a good efficiency. SOLUTION: This recombinant microorganism having the production capacity of the poly-γ-glutamic acid is provided by introducing pgsB gene in Bacillus subtilis or a gene corresponding to the same gene and pgsC gene in the Bacillus subtilis or a gene corresponding to the same gene into a host microorganism, and not introducing pgsA gene in the Bacillus subtilis or a gene corresponding to the same gene into the host microorganism, among the group of genes associated with the synthesis of the poly-γ-glutamic acid.
