The prediction and forecast of coal floor water-inrush based on GIS: A case study on the I-1 mining district in the 5 # coal mine in Pingdingshan area

2010
Based on GIS, especially on its spatial analysis function, a case study on the predicting and forecasting of the risk of coal floor water-inrush was practiced in the I-1 mining district in the 5 # coal mine in Pingdingshan coal area in this article. The 5 # mine of Pingdingshan coal area belongs to the typical Carboniferous-Permian coal mining area which were threaten seriously by the coal floor water-inrush, and water-inrush related to the water pressure, the stability of water-resisting layers, faults and other geological, hydro-geological and mining conditions. According to the statistics data of the 5 # mine, during the first stage of mining I coal group in deep region with small scale, 43 times of water-bursting events from L 7 limestone Karst water were selected in the study. With the spatial analysis function of MAPGIS, the law of water-inrushing were analyzed, it showed that the analysis and simulation through compounding with multi-factors help to predict and to forecast accurately and effectively, for the mining of deep coal resources. And the methods, procedures, and basic process of the application with GIS on the predicting and forecasting of water-inrush are introduced; water-inrush model was established. According to the water-bursting model and partition threshold, subregion of risk zone is repartition in I coal mining district of the 5 # mine in Pingdingshan coal area.
