Situated Knowledge Management - KM on the borderline between chaos and rigidity

Acknowledging the “untidiness of knowledge work”, we agree that organizational learning calls for flexible and adaptable IT support. However, recurring situations which generate experience or information needs require appropriate functionality. In this paper we suggest an approach to d esigning KM applications that complies with situated learning and situated information needs without restraining creativity and flexibility of knowledge processes.
