The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a playing address of a target audio file; and transmitting the playing address to target intelligent audio playing equipment, so that the target intelligent audio playing equipment plays an audio stream after acquiring the audio stream of the target audio file according to the playing address. In the audio playing method and device, the target intelligent audio playing equipment can play the audio stream of the target audio file without requiring a terminal to download the target audio file, so that terminal resources are prevented from being occupied excessively; the intelligence degree of the intelligent audio playing equipment is raised; and user experience is improved.
