Effects of Fire on Photosynthesis and Transpiration in a Mediterranean Ecosystem

1990
This study was undertaken to determine the relationships between the rapid growth of vegetation after fire and the seasonal variations of some physiological factors in resprouts compared with unburnt material. Seasonal photosynthesis and transpiration measurements as well as leaf nitrogen content were conducted during the first post-fire year.
