Study on pulse source separation and location technology of UHF PD based on three-dimensional vector of pulse amplitude in time domain

2016
In this paper, pulse source separation and location technology for ultra-high frequency (UHF) partial discharge (PD) based on three-dimensional vector of pulse amplitude (TDVPA) in time domain is presented, while PD pulse sequences are detected or measured synchronously by three channels respond to ABC power voltage. Sub pulse sequences can be obtained using an unsupervised clustering analysis to the 3D correlation graph of TDVPA in time domain, then identification and analysis is applied to the PRPD pattern of each sub pulse sequence, which forms a novel separation and location technology for UHF PD. The results of simulation research show that this novel technology has strong pulse source separation ability to deal with PD interference and multi-sources problem, with giving the PD location.
