Today, structurl analysis hasbeenessential atthedesign stage. Mostoftheanalyses doneatthedesign stage areso simple that thedesigners find certain results under certain condition, witha simple material constant, ata certain loading conditions, although thematerial constants have scatters fromlottolot, thedimensions ofthepartare acceptable with someamount oftolerance inreal world. So, theresults leadbysuchanalyses donotalways matchthe actual behavior ofa groupofmass-produced parts. MSC.RobustDesign isasoftware tool based onstochastic methodology combined withafinite element analysis that makesitpossible toinclude uncertainty intothefinite element analysis. Inthis discussion, somecasestudies of reliability analysis withMSC.RobustDesign applied tothe BGA creep analysis thatshowshighly non-linear material behavior.
