The report on indicators published towards the end of 2000 by the Markischer Kreis model region represents the first report on indicators in Germany produced within the framework of an AGENDA process to be developed and fleshed out with data by the very protagonists actively involved in the process. This co-operative and hands-on approach to developing indicators is seen as an instrument to support regional partnerships. Not only does it help to provide an internal structure for such partnerships, but it also serves as a source of information for others outside the region.
