The purpose of this research is at the center of those subjects / themes considered to be of social relevance and represent as contemporary, not only from an educational perspective but also in social concreteness. The issue of the needs of people with disabilities is a research problem and problematizes the role of the school in the educational and social inclusion of children, youth and adults. The issue of specialized educational assistance combined with the use of information and communication technologies has enabled achievements and advances in the field of communicational and instrumental accessibility. In the perspective of this investigation, social inclusion will be based on audiobooks, that is, the communicational access of students with visual impairments to reading literary texts. The main objective of the research will be to produce and apply didactic and technological resources - audiobooks, to support the process of teaching and learning to visually impaired students from public and private schools in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes, RJ. It is an applied research, of a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive nature. The research universe will involve visually impaired students enrolled in the municipal public education network in Campos dos Goytacazes, RJ. It is expected from the production of audio books to enable the social and educational inclusion of students with visual impairments, in the matter of literature and access to books.
