Principles and Imaging Technologies of Magnetic Resonance Phase Imaging

Magnetic resonance phase images are able to enhance contrast between gray and white matter and between water and fat by using differences of susceptibility between tissues.Phase images are suitable for the identification of iron and for visualizing veins.In this paper,two basic phase imaging technologies,susceptibility weighted imaging and quantitative susceptibility mapping,were reviewed.
