Las subvenciones de Gobierno en el Sector Agrícola. Una propuesta para la aplicación de las normas internacionales de Información Financiera NIIF en el Ecuador

Internationally, based on strategic policies that govern each country, governments grant companies different types of aid and incentives to stimulate economic growth. In Ecuador, subsidies and aid to companies in the agricultural sector granted by the government, in the accounting field, require the international regulations for proper recognition, valuation, registration and presentation. On the other hand, subsidies in Ecuador need to be categorized, so that companies can clearly identify the type of official aid they receive to continue with proper registration. Official subsidies and subsidies received by the Ecuadorian government in agricultural enterprises require a suitable accounting treatment for the presentation of their Financial Statements in compliance with the resolutions issued by the Superintendency of Companies, Securities and Insurance. The International Accounting Standard 41 Agriculture establishes the criteria that agricultural enterprises must follow in order to account for their transactions, including official subsidies related to biological assets.
