The preparation method of the coating solution comprises the following steps: preparing 60-100 parts by mass of light calcium carbonate into a solution, then adding 0-40 parts by mass of a plastic pigment, 0.1-1.5 parts by mass of an absolute-dry cross-linking agent and 5-35 parts by mass of an absolute-dry modified polyvinyl alcohol solution into the solution to prepare the coating solution, wherein the total number of the parts by mass of the light calcium carbonate and the plastic pigment is 100. The coating solution prepared by the method is coated on base paper; the dried printing paper is high in glossiness and high in wet friction resistance.
