Economic and social development issues in the Chun'an reservoir area of Xin'anjiang Reservoir

With regard to the status quo of social and economic development in the Chun'an reservoir area,the main economic indices of Chun'an County before and after the construction of Xin'anjiang Reservoir were compared with those of neighboring counties.The objective factors for the inundation of the reservoir area were generated.Analysis of the design of reservoir inundation and investment patterns found some "fixed errors" such as those made by fault mechanical movement during the economic renewal and development of Chun'an County.In order to solve the problem of backward economic and social development in the Chun'an reservoir area,support mechanism should be improved so as to increase the speed of economic development relative to the neighboring counties,eliminate "fixed errors" and realize more harmonious economic and social development between the Chun'an reservoir area and the neighboring counties.
