Effect of Staphylococcus aureus on the formation of hematopoietic colonies in the spleen and on erythropoietic regeneration in mice following irradiation
1984
: Strains Staphylococcus aureus Cowan-1 and Wood-46 after injection of a dose of 1.10(8) cells to mice stimulate the formation of endogenous colonies on the surface of the spleen on the 9th day after radiation of mice with sublethal dose. Both strains staphylococcus activate postradiational regeneration of erythropoiesis in the mice bone marrow and spleen defined according to 59Fe injection. There is no increase in the transitory endocolony formation.
