IMPROVEMENT TO THE ESTERIFICATION PROCEDURE USED IN SOLID PHASE PEPTIDE SYNTHESIS

A new procedure of esterificalion of N-protected amino acids to chloromethyl polymers using tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide as a base has been developed. Elemental nitrogen and amino acid analysis of the polymers are in good agreement.
