We havereported a compactplanar-type UWB bandpass filter withtightly coupled E-shaped electrodes inRef (1. Inthis paper, auseful andpractical design procedure forthis filter isdeveloped, andexplained indetails withfull-wave simulations. Inaddition, theresulting modeldesigned bythe introduced procedure isdemonstrated experimentally toconfirm thetheoretical predictions. Furthermore, thedesign procedure is applied toseveral modelswithdifferent substrate parameters, andasuper-compact filter isdesigned onthesubstrate withthe relative permittivity of10andthickness of0.5mm, whose dimensions, 2.7mm x 2.01mm x 0.5mm (filter body), correspond to24.4% sizereduction fromtheinitial model reported inRef(1.
