Background The endocoagulation of the retina prior to a retinotomy in the upper 180° is difficult using straight endodiathermia probes. Description of a New Instrument We developed a new angulated endodiathermia probe. The angulation is close to the coagulating tip. This new instrument facilitates the coagulation in the upper 180° of the retina.
