[Analysis of lipids in the human gingiva by thin-layer chromatography with flame ionization detector (author's transl)].

1976
The total lipids extracted with chloroform: methanol (2:1 v/v) from human gingiva of periodontal disease. The lipids pattern were investigated by the use thin-layer chromatography over Silica gel sintered rod with hydrogen flame ionization detector.Typical chromatograms obtained by this method are shown.Total lipids have been identified as phospholipids, cholesterol, triglyceride and cholesterol ester. The main components of phospholipids in human gingiva of periodontal disease were sphingomyelin, phosphatidyl choline and phosphatidyl ethanol amine.Chemical and biochemical data by this apparatus are considered to be useful for analysis of the these tissue lipids.
