The Antioxidation of Podophyllum Emodi Polysaccharide in Vitro Chemosimulant System

To research the antioxidation of Podophyllum Emodi Polysaccharide(PEP) the chemosimulant system in vitro was established.The function of PEP was determine.on eliminating hydroxyl radical(OH~·),inhibiting the self-oxidation of pyrogallol and scavenging hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)) produced by splenocyte of mice. The results show that OH~· produced during reaction of Fenton and H_(2)O_(2 )induced by zymosan were cleansed, and the self-oxidating of pyrogallol was inhibited by PEP. Therefore PEP has a certain effect of anti-oxidation in vitro.
