Synthesis and properties of binuclear copper(II) complex-Oxidative addition reaction
2001
At room temperature, diben zoy l peroxide undergoes ox ida ti ve addition reaction with metalli c copper powder and quinoline to afford the binuclear coppcr(ll ) complex , [Cu(C6HsCOO)T (C9H7N)b This complex is further characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. The structure of the complex has been determined by a single-crystal X-ray analysis. Each copper(I1) ion is coordinated by two bridging bidentate benzoate and quinoline to form dimeri c molecule.
