Development of an idlike reaction during treatment for acute pulmonary histoplasmosis: a new cutaneous manifestation in histoplasmosis.

2003
Abstract Id reactions often occur secondary to release of antigens after initiation of antimicrobial therapy. This reaction commonly occurs during treatment of Trichophyton infections. The diagnosis is usually made clinically and is supported in the presence of an infection and/or initiation of therapy. We report an idlike reaction during therapy for pulmonary histoplasmosis.
