Spray Pattern Displacement Measurement Technique for Agricultural Nozzles Using Spray Table

ABSTRACT THE purpose of this study was to develop a viable spray pattern displacement (SPD) measuring technique using an experimental spray table in the laboratory. A SPD measuring technique was developed and SPD data were gathered in the laboratory using Spraying System Co/s XR8004 fan nozzles. An analysis of the SPD data indicated that the spray pattern displacement measuring technique was viable. As to be expected, the mean SPD percentage values for cross (C) wind of 2.68 m/s and combined cross and head (C & H) wind was higher than that for headwind (H) of 2.23 m/s.
