The emergence of efficiency of teams in production of knowledge

Teams production is dominating in production of knowledge gradually.We favor and strengthen the research of Wuchty et al.,namely teams typically produce more highly performance than individuals,by analyzing the data from sourceforge.net.This paper finds the theoretic cause why efficiency of teams emerges in production of knowledge,then reveals the mystery that the performance of teams is improving with the size of teams increasingly based on numerical simulation.
