FIBROMIALGIA: IMPORTÂNCIA DO CONHECIMENTO DA DOENÇA E SEUS TRATAMENTOS

This article is a literature review, which aimed to update the literature review on the importance of fibromyalgia syndrome and beneficial treatments to improve the symptoms arising from it. For this, we used six publications found in the SciELO and MEDLINE systems. As a result of the study, it was observed that the syndrome presents as chronic musculoskeletal pain associated with various symptoms, such as sleep abnormalities, and symptoms of depression and anxiety. In addition, regarding treatment, it was observed that it should be multidisciplinary and individualized, aiming at improving the symptoms of each patient, and may be pharmacological or non-pharmacological.
