Crystallization of metastable beta-CdAs/sub 2/ in the system Cd-As

This paper constructs the crystallization branch of metastable beta-CdAs/sub 2/ in the phase diagram of the system Cd-As. The crystalline structural type is described, and x-ray diffraction data are presented. The conditions of vitrification of the alloys in the system Cd-As for arsenic concentrations ranging from 45 to 70 at .% are determined.
