The present invention relates to a magnesium fuel cell, and particularly a magnesium fuel cell using magnesium alloy both as an electrode and as a shell. The present invention solves the problem that the conventional magnesium fuel cell is complex in structure. The magnesium fuel cell using magnesium alloy both as the electrode and as the shell comprises a tubular anode; the tubular anode is concurrently as a tubular housing; the outer surface of the tubular anode is coated with a tubular insulating layer; the inner cavity of the tubular anode is filled with electrolyte; a tubular diaphragm layer and a tubular cathode are respectively placed in the electrolyte; the tubular diaphragm layer is sleeved in the inner cavity of the tubular anode; and the tubular anode is made of the magnesium alloy. The magnesium fuel cell is applicable to electricity supply of various fields.
