Preparation of C, Sn modified ZnMn2O4 porous microsphere and its electrochemical performance

2022
Abstract C and Sn co-modified ZnMn2O4 porous spheres (CSnZMO) were prepared by hydrothermal method, and the structure and electrochemical performance of resultant samples were studied. Experimental results displayed amorphous carbon layer and Sn was successfully introduced into the ZnMn2O4 porous sphere (ZMO). When the carbon source content is 2 g, the electrochemical performance of the sample is optimal and the specific capacitance reached 1010 F/g, which is nearly twice than that of the Sn-modified ZnMn2O4 porous sphere (SnZMO). Moreover, CSnZMO sample reveals large specific capacitance and good cycling stability, in which the capacitance of 2000 cycles still remains 83% of initialize capacity at a scanning speed of 20 mV/s. These results display that CSnZMO is a fascinating material for super-capacitor electrode, and the good electrochemical performance is attributed to increase the electrical conductivity and restrain the volume expansion by carbon coating.
