ON THE NUMBER OF NUMBERS WITH A GIVEN DIGIT SUM

We consider the sum of digits function which maps an integer to the sum of it’s digits, for example 142 is mapped to 1 + 4 + 2 = 7. This papers examines the question of how many other integers are mapped to a given digit in the range 1 to 10 .
