Application of the pseudopotential method to the photoionization of sodium
1969
Abstract A pseudopotential formalism is used to calculate the cross section for photoionization of sodium in the dipole length and velocity approximations. The dipole length results are in exceedingly good agreement with experiment away from the lowest threshold. The dipole velocity results, on the other hand, severly underestimate the cross section except very near threshold.
