Three st ages are recogniz ed: a proliferative initial stage, a maturity stage and an involu tion stage. Di ff erentia l diagnosis should be made with squamous cell c arcinoma b ecause they are considered clinically and his tologically si milar . The treatment of choice is a prompt surgical removal. Here, we present a case of keratoacanthoma in which w e have observed the natural invo lution and finally wa s surgically treated.
