The security inspection equipment provided by the invention comprises a ray emission device, a back scattering detector, a size and distance detection device and an azimuth adjusting device, wherein the back scattering detector is located between the ray emission device and an object to be detected and is used for acquiring back scattering data; the size and distance detection device is located between the ray emission device and the object to be detected and is used for detecting the size of the object to be detected and/or the distance between the object to be detected and the size and distance detection device; and the azimuth adjusting device is used for adjusting the position of the ray emission device according to the size and/or the distance between the object to be detected and the size and distance detection device, which are/is detected by the size and distance detection device. The security inspection equipment provided by the invention can be used for detecting size and position information of the object to be detected, and the position of the ray emission device can be automatically adjusted according to the size and position of the object to be detected, so that detection dead angles can be reduced or avoided and the detection accuracy is improved.
