On the Generative Mechanism of Legal Metaphorical Sentences in English and Chinese from the Perspective of Cognition

There are a large amount of metaphorical phenomena in English and Chinese.Under the guidance of the cognitive metaphor theory,this paper studies the forms and the generative mechanisms of legal metaphorical sentences in English and Chinese.Because of human's common cognitive models and thinking set,the legal metaphorical sentences in English and Chinese have the same generative mechanism,that is to say,they metaphorize the Abstract legal matters into concrete ones.The concrete mechanisms are personification,animalization,plantification,hypostatization and alienation.
