An Optimal Dispatch Strategy of Distribution Networks with Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Integrated Energy Storage

With increased penetration of distributed energy resources and electric vehicles (EVs), EV charging stations integrated with energy storage (ES) is regarded as an important measure to mitigate the power fluctuation and support the distribution networks. Therefore, this paper works on the dispatch strategy of distribution networks with EV charging stations coupled with ES. Firstly, a within-day dispatch model of distribution network is established which consider the characteristics of EV charging load. Secondly, an optimal dispatch strategy is proposed to minimize the daily operation cost, which consider the difference of electricity price under peak and valley load curve. Finally, Case studies are conducted and the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed dispatch strategy can greatly reduce the economic operation costs and smooth the power fluctuations within the charging station.
