Device for continuous casting of metals, particularly of steel

The invention relates to a device for continuously casting metals, especially steel, comprising a base frame (2) carrying a continuous casting mould (1), an oscillating device (3) which is arranged on the base frame (2), and a base roll stand (4) which is arranged on the base end (1a) of the continuous casting mould (1). The aim of the invention is to improve the protection of the mould region and of the elements arranged downstream therefrom. To this end, the continuous casting mould (1), an oscillating frame (3b) and an oscillating drive (3a) applied to the oscillating frame (3b) are arranged in a housing (5) which closes towards the top and at the sides, and the base roll stand (4) fixed on the continuous casting mould (1) penetrates a laterally protecting lower housing (6).
