Use of Transrectal Ultrasound in Transperineal 125Iodine Seeding for Prostate Cancer: Methodology

We report on our method of transperineal iodine 125 implantation in the treatment of localized prostate carcinoma. Our team used transrectal ultrasound and template guidance to treat 163 patients during a 3-year period from November 1985 through November 1988.
