Training of psychotherapists with special reference to the phenomena of transference and countertransference

: The interaction between transference and countertransference, and between real and imaginary level of relations is elucidated from different angles. It is emphasized, that the therapist must learn to oscillate between his conscious purposeful thinking and the state of free floating attention in order to facilitate development of a far-reaching congruency of communication which has to supplement the necessary openness.
