Thermal distortion of different materials in crown construction

Abstract This study compared the thermal distortion of all-ceramic crowns with porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns. The materials exhibited different responses: metal ceramic crowns stabilized after an initial loss of marginal precision, and the all-ceramic crowns continued to distort with each firing cycle.
