Method of producing sulphur-containing sorbents for removing heavy metals from waste water
2010
FIELD: chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial ecology. The sorbent is obtained from epichlorohydrin production wastes. The wastes are fed for polycondensation with sodium polysulphide Na 2 S n (n=3-4) in the presence of petcoke particles with diameter of 0.15 mm or less. Sodium polysulphide is obtained by reacting elementary sulphur and sodium hydroxide in aqueous hydrazine hydrate solution. Polycondesation results in formation of spherical black-coloured granules with size of 1-5 mm. The sorbent has zinc ion sorption activity of up to 71 mg/g. EFFECT: high sorption activity. 5 ex
