Turismo, História, Memórias e Imaginários dos Tempos da PANAIR

O presente texto tem como objeto o caso da Panair do Brasil S.A., uma das companhias aereas pioneiras no pais, que dominou o setor da aviacao brasileira entre 1930 e 1965. Para alem da sua relevância quanto a historia dos transportes aereos e a realizacao de viagens turisticas, esta o controverso encerramento de suas atividades, visto como perseguicao politica. Nesse bojo, surgem desdobramentos sociais e politicos, que culminam na criacao da Familia Panair, na investigacao hoje feita pela Comissao Nacional da Verdade e na formacao de colecoes documentais sobre a Panair, em arquivos (pessoais e institucionais) e em certos museus. Assim, o artigo tem como objetivos expor o estado da arte da pesquisa, tracar os primeiros horizontes teoricos e metodologicos, apresentar os estudos historicos e turisticos a respeito do tema, e realizar abordagem sobre os quadros sociais da memoria, que envolvem a Familia Panair. Discute a relacao memoria / esquecimento, verdade / imaginario, e aponta nao somente o museu como lugar de memoria, mas tambem a propria Familia Panair, sendo os sujeitos que a compoem vistos como suportes das lembrancas construidas coletivamente. Por fim, o texto apresenta questionamentos, que fomentam discussoes relevantes acerca do tema. Tourism, History, Memory and Imaginary: Panair Old Times - This paper aims to analyses the case of Panair do Brasil S.A., one of the pioneer airlines in the country. Panair dominated the Brazilian aviation sector between 1930 and 1965. Apart from its bearing on the history of air transport and the achievement of tours, the paper analyses the controversial closure of its activities, seen as political persecution. In this bulge, social and political consequences arise, which culminate in the creation of the Family Panair, in the recent inquiry by the National Commission of Truth and in the formation documentary collections about Panair (personal and institutional) in some museums. Thus, the paper exposes the state of the art research, mapping the first theoretical and methodological horizons, presenting tourist and historical studies on the subject, and hold approach on the social context of memory, involving Panair Family. Discusses the relationship memory / oblivion, true / fictional, and points not only the museum as a place of memory, but also the very Family Panair, with the subjects that comprise seen as supporters of memories collectively constructed. Finally, the text presents questions that foster meaningful discussions about the subject.
