Structure of pyrocarbon and silicon carbide coatings of micro fuel elements

We determined the phase composition of the coatings of the Si−C system that were obtained in a fluidized bed; it was found that the temperature and the Si/C ratio in the gaseous phase are the main factors affecting the phase composition of the coatings.
