The electromechanical switch connected to a fluid meter

The electromechanical switch (10) has a main check valve (14) with a main closure element (18) and a main reset unit (20), where a detection element (30) is provided for detecting the position of another closure element (24). A control element is provided for turning on or -off the switch in dependence on the position of the latter closure element. Another check valve (16) is provided with the latter closure element and another reset unit (28). The latter reset unit has a lower restoring force than the main reset unit. The latter check valve is arranged in the main check valve. An independent claim is included for a method for determining a flow rate of a fluid through a pipe section by fluid meter and an electro-mechanical switch.
