Dislocation model of the formation of a welded joint in cold welding

Abstract The dislocation model of welding joint formation during the process of cold welding is proposed. The relations were obtained and the estimated grade of tendency of a number of metals to cold welding was performed on the grounds of the hypothesis of active centers limiting sizes. Relations for the estimated grade of the required for cold welding plastic deformation are obtained.
