determination of 185delag and 5382insc mutations of brca1 gene in 10 families with breast cancer in hai duong province

The study was carried out to determine the 185delAG and 5382insC mutations of BRCA1 gene in 10 families with history of breast cancer with 40 women including 25 breast cancer patients and 15 women who haven’t been detected to have breast cancer. The result showed that frequency of the mutations 185delAG and 5382insC were 0/40 (0.0%) and 3/40 (7.5%) respectively. We detected two sisters in a family with breast cancer carried 5382insC. Hence, the mutations 185delAG and 5382insC of BRCA1 gene were not common among women in family history of breast cancer in Hai Duong province.
