A Low Current Fluctuation Switching Strategy for Long Primary Linear Motors

2021
Long armature linear motors segmented power supply are often used in acceleration systems such as high-speed maglev transportation. For the stator segments power supply mode in parallel, switching switches is fewer, but the circuit changes during the switching process will cause current fluctuations and long switching process time because the neutral point of the motor is independent for different stator segment connected to the same inverter. A switching strategy that combines segmented neutral connection and current zero-crossing shutdown is proposed to solve this power supply problem. The mathematical model is established and the correctness of the proposed strategy is verified by experiments.
