Fluorinated γ-carbolines as agents for delaying cognitive and motor dysfunctions in a transgenic model of neurodegenerative disorders

γ-Carboline derivatives were synthesized by the addition of fluorinated vinylpyridines to 2,6-dimethyl-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-γ-carboline. The effect of repeated intraperitoneal injections of the synthesized derivatives on the progression of motor and cognitive dysfunctions was studied in comparison with Dimebon in 5xFAD transgenic mice as a model of neurodegenerative diseases induced by cerebral amyloidosis.
