Experimental Study of Double Partial Discharge Source Location in oil Based on Conformal Ultrasonic Array Sensor

The partial discharge (PD) ultrasonic array positioning method is a new method of combining the ultrasonic array sensor with the array signal processing technology, and the conformal array sensor is widely used because of its perfect combination with the external surface of electrical equipment. In this paper, a nine-element conformal ultrasonic array sensor is designed and developed, and combined with the improved three-platform location method, the experiment of double PD source location in transformer oil is carried out. The results show that the conformal ultrasonic array sensor can receive the ultrasonic signal effectively. The improved three-platform algorithm can effectively realize the spatial positioning of the double PD source, and the positioning error is about 15cm, which meets the needs of the engineering.
