Paper making felt and preparation method thereof

The invention discloses a paper making felt. The paper making felt comprises a base cloth and fiber webs arranged at the two sides of the base cloth, wherein the base cloth comprises wefts and a plurality of joint elements; each joint element comprises two layers of warps and a joint ring; the two layers of warps are respectively woven on the wefts; at least part of the warps on one of the two layers pass through the joint ring to form the other layer of warps with the warps on the other layer; the joint rings of the plurality of joint elements are arranged along the direction of the wefts in sequence to form a common hole; a center thread used for jointing is inserted into the common hole. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the paper making felt. The paper making felt has the beneficial effects that base cloth weaving on shuttle/projectile looms can be achieved and the base cloth is shaped like a ring through connection of the joint rings, thus reducing the process difficulty; being independent from the warps and the wefts, the joint rings do not easily have quality problems; further, the formed paper making felt with the joint rings is simple to operate when being loaded and dismounted on paper machines, thus greatly reducing the workload, improving the work efficiency and reducing the manpower resources and the time cost.
