Interactive interface design for the evaluation of attention deficiencies in preschool children

The timely identification of deficiencies in cognitive functions is vital for children to acquire skills for literacy. However, nowadays, the application of psychometric tests for the identification of cognitive deficiencies is carried out until the children have problems associated with learning disabilities. Hence, the vital importance of early detection in preschool age to achieve an optimal development. In this paper, we present the process of designing an interactive interface for the evaluation of deficiencies in attention in preschool children, under the philosophy of user-centered design and contextual design. As a result, a set of design implications and the interactive interface design are presented.
